Innocencia Ndembera is a Malawian software engineer, founder of Women in Tech Malawi, and one of the clearest voices on what Bitcoin adoption actually needs to look like in frontier markets.

She builds from the inside. As a Malawian navigating a severe forex crisis she has experienced firsthand what financial disconnection feels like and what it costs ordinary people. That experience drives everything she builds. KwachaBridge is her attempt to give Malawians direct access to Bitcoin from their mobile money accounts without informal middlemen. Rotafi brings Malawi's traditional savings circles onto the Lightning Network so groups can save together across borders with Bitcoin as the invisible infrastructure underneath.

Through Women in Tech Malawi she runs Bitcoin for Malawi, a community education program tackling one of the most persistent narratives in Malawi: that Bitcoin is a scam. She believes every Malawian deserves to understand Bitcoin well enough to make their own decision about it.
