Emmanuel Kufre
Founder at BlinkDefi
I’m Emmanuel Kufre, a freelance software engineer and Computer Science student at the University of Uyo, born in Akwa Ibom and raised in the historic city of Benin, Nigeria. Passionate about solving real-world problems, I co-founded BlinkDeFi (tryblinkdefi.com) after winning the ABC24 hackathon, building tools to simplify cross-border payments for African freelancers using Bitcoin.
I co-organize monthly Bitcoin developers’ events sponsored by Btrust, fostering innovation in my home state while contributing to Bitcoin ecosystem projects.
Driven by a belief in freedom of expression and ownership, I’m committed to empowering Africa through Bitcoin’s transformative potential. When I am not coding, I’m on the court playing tennis or staying active through workouts.
