Michael Pelete

Bitcoin Victoria Falls · Merchant Adoption Manager

Michael Pelete is a Zambian Bitcoin educator, Merchant Adoption Manager, and public speaker working at the intersection of Bitcoin, commerce, communication, and financial education.

Based in Livingstone, Michael is part of the team advancing Bitcoin adoption through Bitcoin Victoria Falls, where he works with merchants and businesses to understand and use Bitcoin in practical, everyday settings. His work focuses on moving the conversation beyond Bitcoin as a financial asset and toward its potential as a tool for payments, savings, commerce, and local economic participation.

Michael has been actively involved in growing Bitcoin merchant adoption in the Victoria Falls region, including Mukuni Village, helping businesses understand how Bitcoin can be integrated into real-world transactions. He also educates individuals and communities about Bitcoin, with an emphasis on practical understanding rather than speculation or trading.

Beyond Bitcoin, Michael is a Certified Professional Speaker, and public speaking trainer and the Founder and Co-Director of Blazing Voices Speech Academy in Zambia. He has trained hundreds of people in public speaking and communication, giving him a distinctive ability to take complex ideas and make them clear, relatable, and useful to ordinary people.

His work sits where technology meets people. Whether he is speaking to a business owner considering Bitcoin payments, teaching a community about self-custody and financial sovereignty, or addressing an audience on the future of money, Michael brings a strong focus on practical adoption, human behaviour, and clear communication.

At the African Bitcoin Summit, Michael brings a perspective shaped by working directly with people and businesses on the ground in Zambia, contributing to the wider conversation about what Bitcoin adoption can look like in African communities.
