
Femi Longe
Global Bitcoin Development Lead at Human Rights Foundation
Femi Longe is a serial social entrepreneur, innovation consultant, service designer, learning scientist and startup coach. He is very passionate about helping individuals and organizations be their best self and do their best job to enable a better world. He currently works on the Financial Freedom team at the Human Rights Foundation.
In his role as Global Bitcoin Lead, he drives strategy and execution of the HRF’s Bitcoin Development Fund, a fund dedicated to growing adoption of Bitcoin & adjacent freedom technologies especially in countries under repressive regimes. Previously, Femi was the CEO of QALA Africa (acquired by Btrust), an engineering training programme that helped African software developers transition to a career in Bitcoin & Lightning development, which was acquired by Btrust & transformed into Btrust Builders. Prior to joining the Bitcoin ecosystem, Femi co-founded & remains a non-executive Director at Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), Africa’s leading social innovation centre and tech hub.
For 9 years, he served as CcHub’s Director of Innovation, leading corporate innovation & social innovation engagements that brought clients (multinational corporations, SMEs, non-profits & multilateral agencies) into deep engagement with the African startup ecosystem to create new value and tackle interesting problems to improve quality of life for Africans.
